No rescue can do this work alone. At Almost Golden Rescue, partnerships are at the heart of everything we do—connecting with individuals, shelters, and organizations who share our commitment to giving every dog a second chance.
By working together across communities, states, and even countries, we’re able to reach more dogs in need and create more happy endings.
Partnerships
Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of neglected, abused and abandoned dogs by rescuing and placing them with loving families. We do this by helping to bring together a community of individuals, businesses, and organizations with a shared goal to help dogs in need live a better life.
Where We Rescue
At Almost Golden Rescue, we accept dogs from a variety of situations locally, nationally, and internationally. Our sources include owner surrenders, breeder release, out of state kill shelters and international rescue partners. We also attend dog auctions to rescue dogs that otherwise would have been discarded, euthanized or used for endless breeding. We respect that varying opinions exist regarding some of our sources. A great deal of thought and careful consideration went into our decisions, and we choose to show up for the dogs. We strongly believe that all dogs deserve a good home regardless of where they got their start.
