Almost Golden Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to rescuing dogs from difficult and often heartbreaking situations and helping them begin new lives in loving homes.

Where We Rescue

At Almost Golden Rescue, we accept dogs from a variety of situations locally, nationally, and internationally. Our sources include owner surrenders, breeder release, out of state kill shelters and international rescue partners. We also attend dog auctions to rescue dogs that otherwise would have been discarded, euthanized or used for endless breeding. We respect that varying opinions exist regarding some of our sources. A great deal of thought and careful consideration went into our decisions, and we choose to show up for the dogs. We strongly believe that all dogs deserve a good home regardless of where they got their start.
